- God creates animals, and Adam names them with divine substantivity. There is no helper found to remain before Adam, which is proven absolutely by creating all other animals first.
- God causes Adam to sleep (thus human beings can be anesthetized) and makes a woman from his rib. There is no question of the common essence of all human beings, one single human race, male and female. God’s image is realized by complementary relationships. “Male” has to do with bearing responsibility for another so the other, “female” can be fully devoted to creativity. God the Father bears responsibility for His Son and all else. The Son is thus free to be and is by nature creative. The Son creates man and bears responsibility for man and all else so that man can love a woman, and she can, in turn give her life as a means of God’s creative work.
- Maturing as a male means accepting more and more responsibility for others outside of his home, among whom he would be looking for one particular woman for whom he can bear particular responsibility. Maturing as a woman takes place within the green arcs of her home, supported and protected from vulnerability and abuse by her father and mother, brothers and other male relatives and neighbors.
- Marriage is when a man discovers this particular woman and she wants him to love her as a husband; thus, the husband nestles himself in between the woman’s parents and the woman, and a new family (set of green arcs) begins.
- Naked and not ashamed from the simple visual human physiology truth to the deeper reality of the whole person—there is nothing to hide, no shame, full recognition that the other person is fully as God intended and so fully appreciated.
