Enoch walked with God; consider what that means by the occurrence of “walk” in the New Testament (beware that many English translations have “live” where it should be “walk,” such as in Ephesians 4—5).  People lived a long time after Adam’s corruption; the effects of dying take time to ruin the life that God created.
